How to Use Fitness Monitoring to Improve Physical Literacy?

It is crucial that teachers understand the role of fitness monitoring in physical literacy journey of their students. This animation presents this relationship through several steps.

Fitness monitoring can make students aware of their physical fitness status and their changes over time, thus promoting also their knowledge, interests and cognitions regarding this fitness and health in general, all domains of physical literacy. Fitness monitoring can also inform physical education teachers about trends and progresses in their classrooms, allowing them to plan lessons aimed at improving individual learning, peer health exchange, and relationships among students (affective domain of physical literacy).
