Scotland follows the FITBACK Europe model to explore developing a national fitness monitoring system for their children.
The Scottish Universities Insight Institute has attracted funding towards creating a sustainable monitoring system to address the physical fitness crisis in Scottish school children nationally, based on the FITBACK Europe standards and guidelines. The programme team includes diverse stakeholders from multiple Scottish Universities, PE teachers' associations, Public Health Scotland, Youth Sport Trust, and in collaboration with experts from Finland.
